We developed 'Pests and my Planet,' a cutting edge virtual reality (VR) educational experience aimed at highlighting the impact of climate change on the spread of pests.
As climate change escalates, so does the global challenge of pests and the diseases they carry. The World Health Organization has warned that the next pandemic could be triggered by an insect-borne disease. In response, 'Pests and my Planet' will be a powerful tool to inspire collective action and make climate personal through health.
This unique VR experience takes you on a journey through three immersive scenarios set in the near-future; understand the everyday actions needed to protect your family from pest-borne diseases, explore the intricate relationship between human health and ecosystems, and discover the effects of climate change on vulnerable populations in humanitarian settings.
Following its launch at COP28, 'Pests and my Planet' will be used to inspire the next generation to understand the intricate relationship between pests, health, and climate, and drive positive change in the future.
